Three things I'm loving this week
This article by domino which features 35 furniture finds that are under $200 and not from Ikea! I loved this round up. While I'm not above Ikea (in fact, I just bought an entry table from there), you can spot an Ikea piece from a mile away. As a self proclaimed "home collector" I appreciate a more unique and layered look, but still want a reasonable price tag. I love the alternatives in this article. Wait until you see the lucite nesting tables <insert heart eye emoji here>
These cozy flannel sheet sets from Target. You guys. I bought these sheets on a whim because they were less than $25 for a king set. As cold natured people, Josh and I adore these sheets-- I would pay way more for them. They are so cozy and soft. I think flannel sheets will become a Johnson household fall tradition. I'm getting ready to buy a second set because I end up stripping the sheets on Sunday and washing them right away to put them back on our bed! There are tons of different prints and you can use code FALLHOME for 10% off. You'll think about me when you're snuggled up under these babies.
Erika Eckerson's beautiful abstract art. Erika is a local Charlotte artist and her work is stunning. She isn't a traditionally trained artist, which instantly attracts me to her work. Growing up, I loved art and being creative, but I wasn't traditionally trained so her story really resonates with me. Sometimes I think-- "what do I know writing a blog about interior design and creativity, I didn't go to school for this!" but then I see amazing people like Erika and I'm reminded that we all have different and circuitous paths. I think I'll be adding a piece to our collection soon-- it would look beautiful on our bookshelves.
